Pre- Chinese New Year

Ok, so it’s 11:51pm. 9 minutes to the new lunar year.

Just came back from my uncle’s house where we had reunion dinner. Very fun. We played with fireworks. My dad got bigger ones this year and we felt like we were competing with other fireworkers. haha. We declared war! My dad had heaps so it was good. Ours were almost professional… and they were big, loud, very flamboyant and very smokey too. But it was fun.

Yes, fireworks are banned in this country. But my dad loves it. I suppose it’s just the fun of Chinese New Year. I mean how does one celebrate Chinese New Year without fireworks?! My dad is cool. :) 

Umm, after all this talk about war, some of us came up with ideas of creating a family coat of arms.. that was the phrase I was looking for… haha… like a family crest. I understand the Beckhams have one. Anyway, so we were talking about creating car flags, t-shirts, better fireworks for next year. Hahah.. We then came upon the idea of a website… first of all, we need the crest and coat of arms. Once that’s done… then it’ll be perfect. At least we have people who can draw in the family… ala Alix. Not sure about her skills but it should be put to good use for this project. We were discussing about our website and it does sound rather grand so if we actually put it together, it will really be a fun project. However I must say it’s a difficult one. I’m still struggling with mine.

So tomorrow is when the fun begins.

I was re-reading through my Xanga the other day. I noticed how my posts have begun more long-winded over the last year or so… maybe even more “cheong hey”… it must be an age thing… when you get older you want to reflect more… talk more… etc etc. Or it could just be because I know certain people read it and I want them to know everything… hahahah…. how “mou lieu” of me.

When i was at uni, I used to post short and pretty cool posts… like I actually just post song lyrics.. these days, I find that such a waste if I don’t explain myself! haha… I guess i should become more short-winded.

And I spotted one or two “one liner” posts…!!! Goodness! Can’t imagine that happening these days…

Oh… I was reading about my experience at the Mariah concert in KL 2004. Wow.. it was pretty well written. hahah. Actually, I was quite shocked with some of the posts. Even though i remember being sad at the time or even being a bit spiteful, they came across really well. hehe. It was fun reading everything I had written. I understand how some of you can skim through my posts… I did it too. Right, I really have to learn to get to the point.

A new era has begun here at www.pigduck.com I trust you guys will really enjoy it here… If anything ever goes wrong, I guess I can always revert back to Xanga. :) I want you guys to talk to me. Isn’t it so sad if I have to plead with you to talk to me?? Utterly terrible. So leave a shout-out in my shoutbox. hehe.. yes.. PLEASE!
