I didn’t play Dynasty Warriors today! I did play yesterday though… I finished Zhu Ge Liang and unlocked his wife, Yue Ying and some other character called Jiang Wei. I started playing Yue Ying and she’s amazing. She uses this sickle to kill people. I love her! After playing for an hour or two, I was already up to the 5th Stage. It’s so addictive. So addictive.

I watched the L Word last night. I have been meaning to do an episode review every week but I just find it so hard to put down all my thoughts about this show. Right now, we are at Episode 7 which means we are already half-way through the season. This episode took a turn for the worse and I think the episode title should have been, “Rejection” ‘cos the characters kept on rejecting one another. Dana sends Lara away, Uta (Uta Refson - read it back words) denies Alice, Helena (hot hot hot!) rejects Dylan, Shane rejects Carmen, Moira’s rejecting her sexuality and her body to become a man (injecting testosterone), Tina doesn’t get it off with Josh… (I don’t want Tina to get back with Bette anyway, they’ve lost the “ooh” factor - Bette’s plain gross but I never did like her that much) — it was quite an upside down episode.
I never realised how multi-layered the L Word is. You have to read what fans come up with, the allusions, the theories… all very understandable and they are always thinking, “What is the director trying to tell us? What are the screenwriters trying to say to us at this scene and that? Why are the characters like that? Is the lesbian/homosexual sub-cultre really like that? What does it mean? How does it relate to us? How? What? Why?”

Today, I bought my sister’s wedding present. Yes, it took me two freakin’ months and she made me buy it and set it up today… as an excuse to stay in her house while the maid came to clean it.
So, I bought her a Belkin wireless router. I couldn’t decide between Belkin or Linksys. I wanted to get her some cheapo brand like SMC or Prolink but she didn’t want it. Belkin is good. Americans use it.
hahaha. But apparently, the model I bought was never really reviewed by CNET but nonetheless, it looks pretty snazzy and was 20 dollars cheaper.
I spent approximately 4 hours trying to set up the wireless in her house. I now have a better understanding of how networks work… thank God for manuals! I tried to be all gung-ho at first then I started referring to the manuals and it worked. The Hua Wei ADSL modem (sounds terrible right?) from Streamyx is ok. I mean, I don’t particularly like it. I think it’s the name… Give me Aztech any day.
Now, my sister’s wireless is working. I set up the PPPOE but it’s not secured yet. I tried setting up the WPA security on the wireless and it seemed to work but I couldn’t connect to it with the laptop even though I had keyed in the correct password…I didn’t know what was going on until I had given up (’cos it was dinner) and started to read the manual AGAIN. Then I realised the problem. Windows XP did not have the WPA feature. They only have WEP!!! So yes. Will have to work on that.
Have you noticed what a big part branding plays in a product? Think Hua Wei and Aztech. Or SMC/Prolink/Linksys/D-Link/Belkin? We have set perceptions of these brands and it all comes from branding. I’m sure they function the same.

Went for cell. Nothing to report.
I shouldn’t be so mean. We had 3 new people today. Crazy. Apparently, two of them were from GIS. They are younger than me. Hmph. No wonder they seemed a bit more outspoken than the typical Malaysian.
We talked about Jesus turning water to wine. What did it show about Jesus? How did it make Jesus more manly and at the same time, godly? What is a miracle? Do we look for signs? Should we just rely on signs? Do we ask God for signs when we want to make decisions? I do that and thank God, He answers! Or he’s given me eyes to see His power. Either way, it’s thank God!!!
I think it’s probably —> GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS!

I’ve started doing some back-end cleaning up on my website. I have been excessively cutting down my themes so that I only have a few to choose from. Few here means about 20 themes. Hahahah. I figured that this font on this current theme is a bit big and hard to read. I notice most of you still scuttle off to read my blog from Xanga. Hmmm…. Plus, I still have not started working on my header yet. I don’t know what I want. A glittery name, a wonderful tagline, a captivating picture, I don’t know.

I just downed a whole bottle of 100 Plus at 2 in the morning!!
