The night started out OK. We got there, had a snack and then proceeded to the hall. Before I stepped in I signed up for the forest conservation petition! YEAY! My bit for the environment. I love Mother Nature.
Got to my seat. I was split up from my family.
But it was ok ‘cos I sat with the cell people.
The show started. It was good.
Good choice of songs, overall good choreopraphy… not lame in any way and it was great! I enjoyed myself. Songs like River of Dreams, Let’s Twist Again, Twist and Shout, So Much in Love, YMCA, Only You, Fire, good ol’ time oldies… I liked it… I enjoyed myself.
The acappella was good although some times it didn’t have enough oomph. The voices were good when they were in harmonies but some times when the singers got their little 5 seconds of fame… (aka singing solo) they wouldn’t sound that great… they sound good as a group and I love the “ooh wahs.. ooh wahs”… haha…:)
The singers were pretty good looking in general… there was one guy who looked rather … geeky but he did well… at the encore, they called him the ladies’ man but I think he was more of a mens’ man… the guys sitting around me were cheering for him the most. I guess it’s to prove to us girls that geeky guys rock too ! Hahah… such support for their own kind
The Six2Eight Then in my opinion were better than the Six2Eight Now… just the experience that goes with it I guess… plus, the old ladies were pretty amazing… there was one particular old woman who could sashay and swivel her hips like nobody’s business… she was amazing!! She could really move and I feel embarrassed because I’m supposed to be “young” but I’m already getting backaches and there she is… swishing and swaying… it’s like… WOWSERS!!! She was great… great great great dancer! She was my favourite performer…I mean, she’s got white hair and she didn’t seem like the type to dance but oh my gosh… she was excellent! I got to high 5 her too !! YEAY! She high 5-ed me.. hAHAH… at the end !! YEAY!
The girls were pretty too in my opinion… well a few of them… those that were featured in both groups… they were really pretty… they weren’t as fluid as the old lady in their dancing though. There was one in particular who was in yellow and was in both groups who could move rather sensually. It was nice. The other two girls in red were pretty cool too… great harmonizers and their dancing wasn’t bad
Very normal but it’s good ‘cos if they were good singers AND dancers… then I would really get envious…:)
Overall, I think we all enjoyed ourselves. My dad was really tired ‘cos he ate medication before the show… and had to struggle all the way through. Pray for him that he won’t feel so tired… my mom was pretty happy and my sisters and brother in law seemed to enjoy themselves…
The 2 songs that were original were good… one was called The Fake Viagra Blues and the other was titled Singapore. Both were great and localised… very very very funny…
I heard that the Breakers are in town again. I was thinking about them some time throughout the show and then Six2Eight made the announcement that they would be in town… around my birthday too so I think I might go and watch… time to find a date… or dates… I should really stop it with the whole one-on-one outings… hahah.. it’s not that I am sending the wrong signals or anything… I mean I prefer going out one-on-one ‘cos it’s more personal and you really get to enjoy each other’s company. Although the awkward and comfortable silences some times can be annoying… I don’t know but that would be something to look forward to.
Also, it could be that I’m friendless so it’s hard for me to rope in even 2 people to watch a show with me… haha… plus, these concert-y things are rather expensive… if you know what I mean… hmmm….
One of my languages of love is quality time. I remembered this language of love recently and realised how important it is to me.
Acappella all the way… halfway through the night, I realised that my external hdd contains all my accappella songs!!! I need to save it !!! Please let me retrieve it! I haven’t had time to look into it. I’m so tired… really pooped. It’s 1:15am now.
I thought it was generally good. I enjoyed myself…:)

Haha… cool
Enjoyed the review.
My friend was very self-concious after reading this… lol… spent quite a long time asking me what was geeky and if he was really that geeky…:-)
He’s a great guy and a tremendously talented singer…so, spent quite a bit of time telling him that his geekiness was part of his charm … and that I was geeky too.. Glad you all enjoyed the show
That made it worth the effort!

Aww, Peter wasn’ that geeky… I agree with Maryann!
Johnny, tell that I think he was one of the most outstanding vocalist in the group
I think Azneal has a pretty good voice too. Such a charmer! Wallace loved him too!
Yes, I must say that we both enjoyed ourselves tremendously on Saturday. I’m so proud to know that there is such an amazingly talented bunch of singers in the country (kudos to Johnny and the Six2Eight group!)
