Katharine McPhee - My Destiny & Somewhere Over the Rainbow

EDIT: 29 JUNE 2006 - WELL I’VE TAKEN OFF THE FILE SINCE THE RIAA AND SONY BMG VISITED MY SITE AND GOT MY ACCOUNT SUSPENDED. BUT IT’S OK ‘COS KATHARINE MCPHEE’S SINGLE IS IN STORES NOW AND TO BE HONEST, I WAS JUST HELPING TO PROMOTE VIA STREAMING AUDIO. HOPEFULLY, IT DIDN’T OFFEND ANYBODY - BY THE WAY, NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE VISIT MY SITE AND THE FILES WERE OF LOW GRADE. BUT IT’S OK. I AM GLAD SONY BMG IS STRINGENT WITH KATHARINE MCPHEE’S 1st SINGLE. I’M RATHER ELATED THAT YOU GUYS ARE DOING THIS ACTUALLY. SHE DESERVES THAT MUCH. I’M HAPPY - GOOD GOING, SONY BMG! THANKS FOR DETECTING MY SITE. YOU MADE ME FEEL THAT MUCH HAPPIER & SIGNIFICANT TODAY. I CAN’T BELIEVE MY PUNY SITE ACTUALLY BOTHERED YOU. THANK YOU!  

Edit: 17 June 2006 - Recorded better quality versions of the songs from AOL Music - take a listen and melt! 

My 1st attempt ever to record music off the net. EVER. So, it might not be very good. I tried my best.

I did have to compress these .wav files into manageable sizes for my webpage. I wish I was well versed in equalizers then maybe I could fix the sound quality. I guess it’ll have to be compromised for now. After all, the CD is coming out June 27, 2006.

In terms of quality, I believe Somewhere Over the Rainbow sounds better.  

It could be that my soundcard is VERY lousy and doesn’t record sound properly or something of that nature.

Anyway, on this Double A side… it sounds EXTRA superb. I always said the studio version of My Destiny will be very radio-friendly and I have also always said that Katharine will sound good on CD so just check out these songs. I suggest requesting at the local radio stations. I did that the other day but the station said they didn’t have the song yet. Hmm…

Over the Rainbow is superb too. Produced by David Foster, it is definitely different from the performance version but this one is definitely more suited for radio. I think it sounds wonderful.
