Katharine gets McPhrisky - HAHA:) She’s holding hands with Nick… awwww… someone commented on her swim suit… it’s rainbow coloured - get it? RAINBOW — OVER THE RAINBOW… her single? I thought that was hilarious… and in the 1st small picture, it’s so funny - Kat’s in a passionate moment, her eyes closed, preparing herself for a passionate liplock and Nick’s making a funny face… HAHAHA.

American Idol Tour Starts without Katharine McPhee - Yahoo

MANCHESTER, N.H. - As the young finalists from “American Idols Live” kicked off their U.S. tour Wednesday, word that runner-up Katharine McPhee was sidelined with severe bronchitis and laryngitis disappointed fans.

Manchester’s Verizon Wireless Arena announced McPhee wasn’t performing at the concerts Wednesday and Thursday night; her doctor, Sean Nassari, ordered “total voice rest.”

McPhee said in a statement that she was disappointed she couldn’t perform, but “I need to follow my doctor’s orders to recuperate and reunite with the rest of the idols.”

She said her doctor told her she needed to remain silent. “That’s the most difficult part, not talking!” McPhee wrote.

The boards are going into a frenzy over why Katharine was a no-show at the opening night of the American Idol Tour. They smell something fishy ‘cos why did she cancel her public appearances a week before and why is she now not on the tour like the other finalists?! The fans are obviously frazzled. I don’t blame them. I would be too. I feel sorry for the Katharine McPhee fans who weren’t able to see her too. I share in their disappointment.

A lot of speculation obviously… maybe Kat just wants to focus on her movie career, maybe there are problems with contract obligations, etc etc. Who knows… I think she’s just sick.

But then why was she seen at the public pools with boyfriend, Nick Cokas? In the water, what more?? She should be at home, bed-ridden and not sunning herself OR straddling her boyfriend in the pool (had to use the word ’straddle’ here - such an obscene word, isn’t it?) … I guess if she was sick she shouldn’t be in the pool. Guess stars can’t rest and relax? Maybe because she doesn’t look sick. Hahhaha…

In my opinion, having bronchitis and laryngitis doesn’t stop one from living a life. So she should be lucky enough to be out there swimming and enjoying herself. At least she’s not on a beach… imagine if she was?? All hell would break loose. It looks like a public pool to me. Plus, I will always welcome pictures of Katharine and Nick. Paparazzi! I bet some casual person took those pictures and sold it to the tabloids.

The Idol finalists paid tribute to Katharine by dedicating a song to her at the concert. Some fans were questioning the motives of the show producers; how did they get the video up so quickly if the news only broke a few hours before the show?? It was all planned they say, something smells bad.

How I see this situation is simple. The show people obviously knew Katharine was sick but they couldn’t have a press conference a day or two days before because nobody would go to the concert then! Not nobody but some people won’t go, like the avid Katharine fans and even worse, there might be an outcry for refunds. In a business sense, it makes sense for them to keep quiet until the last minute. Plus, I have a feeling they were hoping she could still sing but then it just didn’t happen.

As for the production of the Katharine montage, that can be easily arranged. I mean, anybody can do a montage, right? And quickly too. It’s not too difficult to complile some photos and video clips… in a short time. It’s called contigency plans.

Then there was a slight panic on the boards when some fans said they only saw official merchandise for 9 contestants and none for Katharine McPhee. Of course this adds to the fish smell but I bet they are selling her merchandise. Maybe they didn’t see any point in it for the 1st night ‘cos she wasn’t there? Hahah… I don’t know, the speculation continues.

Although, apparently Kat’s mom has replied to say that Katharine is disappointed and is guaranteed to be on the tour once the doctor gives the OK. I think Katharine has been dying to go on tour. She talks about going on tour every time she’s interviewed. Her face lights up too… awwww……

Anyway, Get well soon KATHARINE!!
