Katharine McPhee’s Fate

I don’t think Katharine’s fated to appear on the American Idol Tour. She was supposed to make a comeback last night, Thursday 27 July 2006 but somehow, her flight got delayed. I mean, is that not fate?!

After a 3 week hiatus due to bruising of her vocal chords, you would think that finally, after all the speculations, things would go as planned and we would be able to see her sing on tour. But alas, that is not the case!

Again, Katharine makes headline news on Yahoo’s Entertainment front page… YEAY!!

The above article is really interesting. It seems that Katharine will be taking it easy on her vocal chords and not sitting her original setlist of 6 songs for the time being… I think it’s fine by me as long as she starts showing up and singing!!!

Also, on the View, she apparently dispelled rumours that it was bulimia that sidelined her appearance on the tour… people will bronchitis/laryngitis are not bedridden and she was following the doctor’s orders. I think it gets more drastic seeing she’s a singer…

Katharine McPhee - Missing in Action < apparently her flight was delayed or cancelled... so sad! Poor pumped up fans.. I feel for you. Actually, thinking about it now, that must be the most painful, knowing she was supposed to come and then the disappointment.

I haven’t had time to visit the boards yet but I will … such drama… being a Kat Phan is never easy going.. it’s filled with drama, controversy… ha ha …

Wait! I forgot to add that even though Katharine McPhee and the American Idol Tour seem to have  no fate, she is making waves with hair!

She has been signed on to promote Big Sexy Hair < a brand of hair care products. I'm not sure what kind of hair care products they are. Of course, it's not as big as L'Oreal but I'm sure it's a start.

Even in China, people are welcoming Katharine McPhee back. YEAY!!

 Doesn’t Katharine McPhee look a bit strange? If you notice the poster she’s standing next to, that’s her picture they are using for the promotion. I still can’t place her looks… she looks like a vixen in the picture… like those evil people in the movies. I’m not sure I like it.

At the same time, she looks a bit strange doesn’t she? Maybe it’s her voluminous hair? I don’t know… Her make-up is a bit odd too. Maybe it was also the lighting… her dressing’s a bit strange…

She looks like a comic character from the 50s I think… it’s strange…

Does Katharine look Indian in the picture above? I think she looks like a Bollywood star… which is by no means a diss in anyway… but still, it’s strange… I think it’s the make-up…

Plus, I do believe Katharine McPhee may have put on a bit of weight which is good….

I think it’s the extra wavy, bouncy hair that I’m not really feeling…

In this picture, her lips look weird and her eye brows seem a bit thick.. hmm… They are flatter which makes her face look not as stunning as compared to post-Idol.

Oh well, maybe she put on too much make-up for this press conference. After all, it is her first “public” appearance after recovering from laryngitis and bronchitis… I mean, this Big Sexy Hair got all the press hype… lucky them. Edit: I think I know what it is. She changed her hair colour… it’s not very nice in my opinion… a bit TOO dark.

She’s also the face of Sexy Hair Concepts. At a promotional event Wednesday in Manhattan, she said that boyfriend Nick Cokas, 41, is a fan of the line. “He loves it. Actually, I do (his hair) for him.”

Given the chance, she’d work some follicular magic on Idol winner Taylor Hicks, 29.

Oh, Taylor!” McPhee sighs in mock exasperation. “We’d have to redo it. I told Taylor to get his hair off his forehead.”
