The OC Season 4 Episode 5

The last two weeks have been so long… ARGH!

I finally got to watch this episode and oh my goodness, it’s hilarious! Taylor is seriously my favourite character this year… seriously, she’s kind of overtaken Summer … not completely but in terms of laughability and comedy, Taylor takes the cake!

Summer’s kind of mellowed although… at the end, you kind of saw some of the old Summer back.. I feel so sorry for her! Dumb CHE! DUMB!

Anyway, let’s start from the very beginning, a very good place to start… (sound of music…)

So Ryan has insomnia… :)

Seth is giving Summer space…

Taylor’s got a crush on Ryan and completely melts every time she sees him…

Julie’s still sleeping around with younger guys. She’s such a slut!

I love Kaitlin and her reactions towards Julie’s promiscuity… very good! I really like the way she speaks too… I say this EVERY time…

Taylor’s little outburst at Seth was so perfect! “…everything just turned into technicolor!” what an amazing line!

Kaitlin’s really boney…

I really like how Taylor gets her way every time with her outbursts.

I find Julie’s nose so sharp and high. And she hits on Kaitlin’s tennis instructor. Kaitlin wants this guy too and you know, Kaitlin’s exactly like Julie… Very gross how they can like the same guy.

There are a lot of adult stuff with investors and stuff… boring… just that Kirsten and Julie’s business venture needs more capital. Sandy’s going to hook them up with the Bullet.

The best thing about it is that Taylor doesn’t take no for an answer and convinces Ryan to meet her in the diner for their first sleep therapy session. Yes, she takes it on to try and get Ryan some sleep…

I don’t think I’ve seen Ryan talk as much as he has in this episode. It’s uncanny…

I think it’s great that Taylor hits the spot with Ryan’s insomnia… that maybe he’s got nothing to live for since Volchuck is locked up now.

One of the funnier parts of this episode is Julie and Kaitlin’s “mother daughter” tennis lesson. HAHAHAH! Kaitlin knocks Julie out with tennis balls. SO FUNNY!

So Sandy talks to the Bullet about attending the benefit to meet Kirsten… :) However, the whole thing with this … it almost seems like The OC is making fun of the mid-west people… HMMmmmMmmm… “Shiite Muslim…” Makes them look so crude…

And Seth is unhappy with Taylor’s approach with the sleep therapy sessions with Ryan and again they hit the spot… “she’s no Marissa.” Oh man.

Summer and Che did something terrible earlier on, releasing some rabbits. Yeah, she kept one of them and apparently, the deans found out so they’ll be meeting the panel to discuss the situation…I like that she named her bunny, “Pancakes!” CUTE! LOVE SUMMER!

Hate Che.

Kaitlin wants to impress her tennis instructor by showing off her hot body but instead discovers that her mom got to him first. Oops.

Kaitlin’s really boney and her body is pretty amazing…her facial features are so unique and I love how her hair curls. She’s gorgeous! And I like that she knows it!

Taylor sets the seduction process with the candles and giving Ryan a massage… and Ryan asks Taylor if she likes him and she denies! Uh Oh. Apparently, it didn’t help Ryan and Seth discovers that Taylor stayed the night and … poor Taylor! Her plan didn’t work!

Little Kaitlin’s scheming … hee hee… getting bad at Julie - I like how she does it!

Then Summer gets summoned to the dean’s office and she might be facing expulsion because she released some bunnies. ‘COS CHE TOLD HER TOO!..She’s a very good buddy though. Doesn’t betray them… she’s got integrity and she doesn’t backstab. She rocks!

Isn’t it great that Kaitlin and Taylor are sharing lip gloss?! YEAY!! I think it’s great that Kaitlin likes Taylor and it’s almost like they are acting like sisters… something Kaitlin and Marissa were never really able to do.. share and talk…

It’s cool that Taylor doesn’t really know how to react and how she’s so pleased when Kaitlin compliments her. She must be very insecure ‘cos her mom is “she-wolf fo a mother who practised emotional terrorism!” Her lines are superb!

It’s great to see Kaitlin warm up to her and see Taylor as sincere. It’s great. It’s cute to see Taylor learning frmo a 15 year old schemer. HAHAH~

Kaitlin looks so good when she was telling Taylor what to do.

Then at night when they are at Sandy’s do (he’s not throwing these dinner things), for charity I believe, Taylor wows Ryan with her smoking dress. I didn’t find it particularly hot looking…but I liked how she picked up those little pointers from Kaitlin, walking in front of Ryan, asking him to dance with her…

Next up, Seth’s still pining for Summer and wanting to call her… he said he’ll give her space and he’s trying his level best to give her a week. She wants to talk to him too but she doesn’t want to seem “needy”. So cute the two of them… at least we know they love each other.

Kaitlin drags in the tennis instructor to the charity benefit and it turns out the tennis instructor is Bullet’s son!!! What a coincidence!

Ryan’s dancing with Taylor and he makes a joke. I’m still shocked at how much he’s talking this season… especially in this episode.

They finish dancing and then Seth questions Ryan and Ryan says he’ll never go out with Taylor and Taylor eavesdrops and gets sad. Poor Taylor!

Then he goes after her and they talk and he doesn’t know how Taylor knows what he’s thinking… he finds it strange… Then she goes off on another rant and asks exactly what he’s thinking next… “are you going to say that you like me as a friend?” and when he says, “maybe” she storms off… hahaha

Cuts to Julie and Kaitlin and man, Kaitlin’s gorgeous and they are having a very funny fight. It’s weird to see mother and daughter fighting over something as trivial as boys. Kaitlin’s such a 15 year old, “it makes me want to barf…” and Julie sees her folly… and then it’s like Kaitlin’s just got a knack as a schemer. She doesn’t even plan for things to get as ugly and it’s such a coincidence that the tennis instructor is Bullet’s son!

And then DUMB CHE! At first we thought he’s harmless but he turns out to be such a pig!!! YUCK! Hate him! He betrays Summer and uses her as a scapegoat and now it’s very likely she might be expelled from Brown… what does this mean for her?! We’ll have to find out. He’s always been a bit of a strange person but I can’t believe he’d do this to Summer. He’s awful!

And Kaitlin uses the line that Julie used on Caleb Nichol I think… she tells Bullet he should invest in Julie and Kirsten’s company, New Match and tells Bullet it’ll be the best investment he’s ever made… and apparently, he takes her word for it… She’s so persuasive! Hahaha..

Taylor goes to Seth and gives up on the idea of her and Ryan… and Seth uses the “Jedi mind trick” on her .. and you know what? He’s right. Throughout season 3 and 4 so far, she’s never been a quitter, she’s never let obstacles block her way and maybe that’s why I like her. And you know, she’s actually becoming more human… She takes Seth up on the challenge and goes to find Ryan where she then proceeds to propose a kiss… to see if Ryan feels something… and does he? Well his insomnia is solved…

I laughed out loud at a lot of parts in this episode. Especially the Julie and Kaitlin parts… and I just loved Taylor’s little outbursts and even near the middle to the end where she almost gives up and feels sorry for herself and how she thinks she’s pathetic… I like how they are developing her character…

What happened to Summer and Seth? Well she called him just before he did and it was so sweet… they talked for a couple of hours… I’m not sure about what… but it’s great to see her say she loves him… and it’s great that he says he loves her too…

So far, I will reiterate that I like this season’s OC. I mean, it’s got great punch lines, it’s refreshing and the casting is just superb. I love Kaitlin and Taylor… both excellent characters… and Kaitlin’s eyelashes are so thick and long… I wonder if they are real.

I watched Season 3 Episode 1 on television last night, I think… or one of the earlier episodes of Season 3 and Taylor really looked like Psycho Barbie there but it’s great to see her look prettier and prettier this season… beautiful.

All in all, I think it’s going to be interesting to see what happens.

I feel so satisfied knowing I’ve watched this episode. It was definitely not a disappointing episode. I may have had a bit too high of an expectation for it since I watched the trailer for it so often over the last two weeks but all in all, a great episode!
