The OC Season 4 Episode 6

I really liked Kaitlin in this episode. She acts so tough and nonchalant but she has a big heart and that makes her so loveable so real.

I realised this season that her approach to Julie and her family is very different from Marissa. Kaitlin confronts Julie and she doesn’t exactly let it affect her. In that way, she’s above the problems in her house and surprisingly, she’s got quite a good head screwed on her. Maybe she’s wiser than Marissa but then again, Kaitlin was sent away at a very young age.

Thinking about it now, she is the opposite of Marissa. Marissa was the ever popular girl in school, social chair and just very involved with school activities whereas Kaitlin gives off an outsider vibe and doesn’t really want to be part of anything.

Somehow Kaitlin seems a lot “nicer” than Marissa too… in terms of character and heart. Kaitlin knows what she wants and that’s very different from Marissa. How interesting…

Kaitlin’s got amazing make-up too.

Taylor wasn’t as funny this episode although I did laugh at the bits when Ryan was fantasising about her.

I laughed when Ryan used the oldest trick in book too - the yawning and putting his arm around Taylor. HAHAHA.. classic. And I think this was summed up by Seth who said Ryan’s Taylor fantasies were so predictable and cliche and Ryan saying it doesn’t make it not hot.

I thought Sandy and Kirsten auditioning to be the next Seth to Ryan was really funny too.

Taylor and Ryan are ho-hum this episode… I thought the odd part was when Taylor didn’t actually want to be his girlfriend but just wanted to use his body as a jungle gym. She must be amazing in bed, huh? She’s always had pretty grand sexcapades. Remember Sung Ho? :) Anyway, the point is, I thought in the last episode she wanted to be Ryan’s girlfriend but I guess we were all led to believe and to see it from Ryan’s point of view?

Finally, Seth and Summer… WAH! I can’t watch them without thinking of Adam and Rachel. :(

I was thinking about Summer and she doesn’t smile as much this season. It’s weird… fine, the first few episodes she was still in grief but in episode 6 she still doesn’t seem her bubbly self but then again, she did get kicked out of college. :) Stupid Winchester.

Pancakes is so cute. Oh man, I hope Seth and Summer make it. They still seem pretty stable and we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Seth still loves Summer though, offering to defer college for her… sigh.

I can’t wait for episode 7.
