The OC Season 4 Episode 8

I love Kaitlin Cooper. She is such an awesome character. She acts tough but really, she’s just a teenager. She’s a lot more responsible than Marissa too and the difference is that she’s not self-involved… instead she really craves for a secure family unit.

She’s also a really friendly person and even though she may seem nonchalant, she does care. She wants her mom to be happy and everyone to be safe and it almost seems like she’s the one watching out for her mom instead of the other way round.

The one thing that’s most different between Kaitlin and Marissa is that Kaitlin doesn’t hunch!!!

I particularly loved her skull and bones scarf in this episode. She’s great! And did I mention she’s really pretty? I think I must say that every episode.

Summer in this episode was absolutely hilarious. I especially loved it when Taylor asked her to take a pregnancy test. It was just so cute and it’s really wonderful to see how much Taylor cares for Summer…

Summer was cute and she’s still not as smiley as before.

I guess how can one smile if they might be pregnant eh?

I loved it when they were on their way to Vegas. It reminds me of the Fab 4.

I thought Taylor and Ryan were quite cute at the start of the episode too… where they were asking each other whether they were ready for their surprise. I loved it when Ryan acknowledged Taylor as his girlfriend!!!

Seth and Summer are awesome too. He proposed to her… I hope it lasts. Summer says she’s got to take care of him all the time. I wonder if that’s true… HmmmMmmm…. what was funny was how they felt so awkward after they found out Summer was not pregnant.

Overall, a great episode. Ryan talks a lot more to Taylor it seems… and he jokes! I mean compared to when he was with Marissa, he didn’t seem to be as chatty… he would have never told Marissa how he felt but he’s doing that with Taylor. It’s cute to see that he’s a bit jealous and upset that Taylor “kept the secret from him”. I love it!!!

I wonder who loves who more… Seth or Summer? But in this episode, I am reminded that Seth has loved Summer since the 3rd grade or something…

What I don’t get is Taylor and Ryan… they both have obviously had sex with their other partners … in fact, Ryan’s had a few flings… some where he thought he got Theresa pregnant, then with that woman he met when he went to see his mom in Albuquerque…(sp?)

I think with the Marissa and Summer relationship, Marissa never needed Summer around and vice versa but it’s really nice now that Summer has Taylor for support while they were in the toilet cubicle… and Summer hyperventilating! So good.

So when Taylor and Ryan finally met up again after midnight, they said, “everything but….” hmmm… I just don’t get it.

Anyway, I wonder what Frank Atwood wants to know about the Cohens…I’m also glad Sandy knows who he is.

Bullit’s quite cute too… his laugh is so unique.

Yeah…a bit of a strange episode what with the alien rave but all in all, another great episode. Season 4 is shaping up to be one of the best seasons yet!
