So Katharine McPhee’s debut album is finally hitting stores January 30, 2007. In the mean time though, we’ve got her single release to be excited about.
The song is called Over It and it’s been getting quite a bit of pimping. I was at All Access and noticed that they’d placed her on their front page. Hopefully this will stir the radio industry professionals to listen to her song and then play it.
Yes, to listen to the full version of the song (even international listeners, please click on this photo below).
As you can see, she’s featured quite a bit on their website. This ain’t any other ordinary site. It’s where radio deejays, producers, managers, etc etc can view important airplay information.
I was thinking whether Mariah Carey was ever featured on this website like how Katharine McPhee is right now when she was promoting the Emancipation of Mimi. I have to say though that Mariah doesn’t need such promotion but I wonder how she garnered so much airplay support for her singles… I mean there was a time when Mariah was shunned by radio… then suddenly they embraced her again… I wonder what she did? Maybe she just had quality tracks but I don’t think so… it shows how important it is to get your music out to the radio people because if they like the song, they’ll play it. But for them to like it, they have to listen to it.
Anyway, why did they use this picture of McPhee? It looks like a health ad in my opinion and rightly so since this picture was from Katharine McPhee’s Shape Magazine Photoshoot way back in December 2006 or so. Why didn’t they use her album cover? I think it’s because this picture is fresh and has a young feel to it unlike the dark, Marie Antoinette style. Hee hee… Are they regretting the direction they went with for the album cover? Hmm…
Right so to listen to the full song, please click here or on the Katharine’s picture above. Yes, the one that reads, “Katharine McPhee “Over it” Impacting Top 40 Now!” T o read more, please click here and here.
