Gossip Girl on the CW in Fall

Remember the OC?

I still remember it like it was yesterday. Well, it did end only in February 2007. After 4 good seasons of pure, elite madness. Truly, have you met anyone like Julie Cooper-Nichol? I mean, she can only exist in the OC. She slept with her daughter’s ex-boyfriend!! What about Marissa Cooper?? Nobody can have so many issues!! Ahh, and do you remember the absolutely perfect couple, Seth & Summer? And yes, I am just happily forgetting the supposed “main” character, Ryan. He’s just, oh so forgettable! Then in Season 3 & 4, we were treated to the delightfully perky and insecure, Taylor Townsend and Marissa’s gorgeous little sister, Kaitlin Cooper. It’s all history. We can never go back to that gated community and those wonderfully quirky, lovable characters. Josh Schwartz rocks. Which brings me to the new kid on the block though…

Step into the world of … GOSSIP GIRL!

It’s based on the Gossip Girl book series and will be hitting the CW network in the Fall of 2007. Isn’t this exciting? Josh Schwartz also has writing credits for the show. Interestingly, it is also about a bunch of elite teenagers except of course, this is on the East coast rather than the West Coast.
