Muslims think other religions are better?

From where I live, Malaysia seems to be the land of Boring. Nothing happens on the home front, we get by watching tv all day, taking a nap or two, wishing for things to do in this country of ours.

I’ve been surfing the internet relentlessly, hoping to chance upon something interesting and here’s the first news tonight…

Whipping, prison and fines for anyone who tries to convert Muslims

Great. So freedom of religion in Malaysia is dead. I feel rather sorry for Malays because they are required by law to be Muslims. I was talking to one such Muslim today who said that we should be able to make our own choices in life even though I was telling him that some times, we aren’t given the luxury of choice, He argued however that some times we need to make a stand… sadly for him, that fundamental decision on what to believe in is not his.

The fear that people will choose another religion makes me think that these Muslims must think that Christianity, Buddhism and the other religions are in reality, maybe more sensible than Islam. The fear that their countrymen will see the light causes them to impose restrictions and punishments on those with positive karma and the Good News.

At the end of the day, It’s ok. We always end up in the oddly news section of Yahoo News anyway. Last time it had to do with “divorcing via sms“. It seems to be updated.
