I’ve never quite admired a celebrity couple like this before. Ok, wait. I do admire Victoria and David Beckham. But I haven’t admired a couple like this in a long time.
The old and famous saying goes, “a picture paints a thousand words” but how often is it that you can feel the love from a picture?
Yes, my obssession was carrying me away. I spent 8 hours yesterday, yes, I shouldn’t admit this, looking through archives ‘cos I’m just so curious. That doesn’t include the last few weeks of just admiring them from a distance.
I have never seen Lindsay Lohan looking so fresh and healthy. Not only that but she looks contented and happy. She’s come a long way and I attribute her current state of stability to Samantha Ronson. Some say they’ve had a passionate on-and-off relationship for the past few years, others say that Lindsay was always smitten with Samantha. And if you look at the tabloid and paparazzi archives, you will be able to see some of this action. There’s just so much that can be made up from these few minute clips. It’s fan fiction time!
However, today I spotted two photos that made me feel guilty. Can you spot the couple?
I thought New York City was supposed to be more private and not as obssessed with celebrity-dom. But I guess Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan are hot property now. Especially after the photos from above, the people who took them must have received a hefty amount of money.
Anyway, I just wish the paparazzi weren’t so invasive. Really. I’m going to try to be less inquisitive even if I’m dying inside to know. It’s not every day you see lesbian relationships in Hollywood. Hardly in fact.
Not only that but when did the media start accepting homosexual relationships? The tabloids are having a field day but the Times Online’ “Lesbian Chic” and The Guardian’s “Will Lindsay Lohan fight tinseltown prejudice?” have offered intriguing, well-written and thought provoking articles. And yes, can you believe that Lindsay Lohan is spurring people to think and re-think their stand on homosexuality?
And the strangest thing is, the media aren’t bashing Lindsay Lohan. Rather they are encouraging her and are very open-minded about all of it. They seem to have, in a way, fallen in love with her again and only positive remarks have been made so far. Which is great ‘cos she deserves all of this after all the mess from last year.
The point here is that it’s not about lesbianism. For me, it’s wonderful to see two people in love. And that’s how it should be. Regardless of gender. The term “homosexuality” categorises, separates and segregates.
I wish them all the best. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson forever! May the passion continue!
EDIT: They haven’t officially come out as a couple yet but they don’t need to say it. Everything they’ve done doesn’t scream BFF at all. You don’t kiss your best friend on the neck, do you? *ahem*
